1. Overview
Tech Xperts (“we,” “us,” “our”) stands behind the quality of our repair services. This Warranty & Refund Policy explains your rights and obligations when you submit a device for repair or diagnostic service, our warranty coverage, and the circumstances under which refunds or credits may be issued.
2. Warranty Coverage
2.1 Standard Warranty
All completed repairs and replaced components are covered by a one-year warranty from the date of service.
If the original fault recurs within the warranty period, we will reperform the repair at no additional labour cost.
2.2 Parts Warranty
We use high-quality, professionally sourced replacement parts. All such parts carry the same one-year warranty.
If a part fails under normal use, we will replace it free of charge.
2.3 Labour Warranty
Labour associated with covered repairs is guaranteed for one year. If the same issue reappears due to workmanship, we will correct it at no extra labour charge.
3. Warranty Exclusions
The following are not covered by our warranty:
Damage arising from accidental drops, misuse, liquid exposure, electrical surges, or unauthorised modifications
New faults or failures unrelated to the original repair
Faults in pre-existing components or hidden defects discovered after repair
Cosmetic damage (scratches, dents) and wear-and-tear
Repairs performed by anyone other than Tech Xperts during the warranty period
Software issues, data loss, or operating system errors
4. Repair Attempt Fees
For complex repairs (motherboard work, data recovery, or rework of prior repairs), a repair-attempt fee of £30–£80 may apply if the repair is unsuccessful or the device was serviced previously by another provider.
If you request an in-depth inspection beyond our standard diagnostic, a non-refundable labour fee applies regardless of repair outcome.
5. Refunds & Cancellations
5.1 Cancellations
You may cancel a repair order before work begins at no cost.
Once we have opened your device or commenced repairs beyond basic diagnosis, a labour fee applies and cancellation is not available.
5.2 Refund Eligibility
We consider refund requests in the following cases:
Failure to repair the original fault after reasonable attempts
Overcharging or charges made in error
Services not delivered as described
5.3 How to Request a Refund
Contact us within 7 days of device collection via email or phone.
Provide your name, repair order number, a description of the issue, and preferred resolution (refund, rework, or credit).
We will investigate and respond within 5 business days.
5.4 Refund Processing
Approved refunds are issued via the original payment method within 5–10 business days.
Refunds do not include labour fees for diagnostics or inspections already performed.
6. Data Backup & Liability
You must back up all data before repair. We are not responsible for data loss, corruption, or configuration changes.
We take reasonable measures to protect your data, but cannot guarantee complete data security or recovery.
7. Device Collection & Storage
Devices must be collected within 30 days of notification.
After 30 days, a storage fee of £5 per day applies.
Unclaimed devices after 90 days may be recycled or sold to recover costs, with any proceeds offset against outstanding charges.
8. Limitations & Liability
Liability for warranty repairs is limited to the original repair cost.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages (lost profits, data, or business interruption).
Our liability under this policy does not exceed the amount you paid for the repair service.
9. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
This policy is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any disputes arising under this policy will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
